SCULPTURES
Clay Sculpture
Robyn’s style ranges from symbolic, through stylised, to realistic, and centres round the human form because of her deep passion for people and humanness. The sculptures have a rawness that makes them very intimate: she leaves the clay unglazed so as to convey the interior experience of being human. Her use of coloured slips suggests her fascination with colour … and sometimes she uses oil paints as a bringing together of sculpture and painting.
The clay used is a very strong raku suitable for in- or outdoors. She fires her work in her own kiln.
