Clay Play
for Creative Self-Exploration
This is a fun art therapy class designed to help you learn
about the way you think and feel, while you create with clay.
Classes run for 8 weeks, starting 6th February 2023.
Monday mornings from 10am to 12.30pm.
At Karlup Ceramic Studio (airconditioned), Atwell House.
There is a theme for each week, to help focus our creativity and learning. Each session will start with a short presentation and discussion of themes about self-understanding. You will then have fun exploring your creativity with clay.
Clay techniques learned will include rolling, coiling, slab construction for vases, sculpting faces and figures, texture application, stacking, carving, and slumping.
Themes explored:
- Brain waves and thinking patterns
- Emotions and Negative Schemas
- Compassion and ways of Healing
- Attachment styles and Parenting the Self
- The 3 Emotional Regulation systems
- Meet your wise inner guide
Cost for the course is $300 for members,
$320 for non-members. This includes one bag of clay and firing.
